Sound Bugscope is a practice of exploring the possibilities between sonic art, improvisation, impromptu composition, and soundscapes, and attempting to use the ear to approach sound from a different angle.
The workshop also includes methods from John Cage’s Musicircus, and parts of musical games. Haco presents the aesthetics and practical methodology of her work, and re-interprets other composers’ works related to the observation of sound. During the workshop, Haco carries out a sound-walk with the participants, listening to the environment, and finding materials and ideas in the process of any form of improvisation.
