A lyricist-composer, vocalist, electroacoustic performer, sound artist, and a founding member of After Dinner (1981-1991) and Hoahio. Haco has created numerous recordings both as producer and sound designer. As a musician, she has given performances throughout Japan and the world. With her unique sensibility, Haco has developed a practice based on principles of post-punk, electroacoustics, the avant-garde, improvisation, post-rock, environmental sound, and technology. In 2005, her CD "Stereo Bugscope 00" was awarded a prize in the digital music category at Prix Ars Electronica in Austria.

After Dinner (1981-1991)、Hoahioの創設者。ソロや複数の主宰プロジェクトでのCD制作、コラボレーション、国際フェスティバル出演など数え切れない。ポストパンク、電子音響、アヴァンギャルド、即興、ポストロック、環境、テクノロジーを背景に、鋭い感性で活動範囲を広げている。長年にわたって歌姫とも称される。近年、サウンドアートの文脈でライヴ・インスタレーション、レクチャー、ワークショップも精力的におこなっている。2005年には作品「Stereo Bugscope 00」がオーストリアのアルス・エレクトロニカで入賞。またコンテンポラリー・ダンスの音楽製作、サウンドデザインも多く手がけている。
